The Work Of Love

That work of love pays them enough to feed themselves and their families, simultaneously enjoying the luxuries of life with absolute peace and satisfaction.

“If you just work on stuff you like and are passionate about, you don’t have to have a master plan with how things will play out.”

– Mark Zuckerberg

We’re working on many things, and the result is below-average performance. We’re good at nothing because we don’t like to do the work at our hands.

We work because we’ve nothing to do or bills to pay. The equation of money and hatred towards work is the cause of most of our problems.

We learn a skill and start living that work as a transaction for money. We’ve no interest in doing that. That’s one problem.

Then there is another problem: we love to do things, and we’re passionate, but it doesn’t have any monetary value, or even if it has, we don’t know how to monetize our passion.

As we advance in age, the problems keep on growing because we don’t take the time to address them adequately.

Everyone struggles with health issues, distorted relationships, and financial crises. Most of us are not brave enough to directly take matters into our hands and rely on others or God.

We’re good escapists. We run from our responsibilities only to find that there is no escape. We forget that we must return home to answer those who love and care for us one day.

Often we create circumstances that reflect our beliefs. If we do nothing and have no worthy goals for life, we’ll attract friends who’re like us, useless. They’ll exchange thoughts that will confirm our belief that we’re worthless.

It’s a vicious circle that is hard to understand.

At extreme levels, we see effects, but poor thinking patterns drive a complete set of actions at the inner core. We’re responsible for those actions and attitudes.

We can’t blame the circumstances as we’re the creators of those thinking patterns that lead to those circumstances.

At the extreme level, life is complex, but at the subtle level, it’s easy. All we’ve to do is follow one work that we like to do, and it has the potential to pay us well in the future.

When you’ll do that work, it may not initially pay you in monetary terms, but you can measure your success with the level of satisfaction.

You’ll perform well if you’re good at something and have commitment, focus, and consistency.

Whatever we’re doing is the result of our past actions, and what we’ll become depends on what we’re doing right now, here at this moment.

Are you serious about your work?

Do you’ve any plans for the future?

If you don’t have that, it’s okay, but at least you must be willing to put in the effort required to perform that task.

Are you doing that?

If yes, then you don’t need to worry about anything.

You’re on the list of 5 percent of top people who do something worth doing, not for money but the love of work. That work of love pays them enough to feed themselves and their families, simultaneously enjoying the luxuries of life with absolute peace and satisfaction.

Every single person I know who is successful at what they do is successful because they love doing it.”
