Self-Love

What’s Your Relationship With Yourself?

The quality of life depends on the quality of our communication. Through words, we exchange energy that creates heaven or hell in our lives.

Most of us trained as professionals have mastered external communication, but how many of us know the art of internal communication. What do you think, feel, and say about yourself in your head?

My aim with this article is to present you with the idea that most people struggle in their lives because of poor internal communication. Even though they are good at communicating with other people, they lack self-confidence and have low self-esteem because they don’t have a strong sense of self-worth.

Have you noticed the chatbox in your head that keeps on commenting, even when you’re unwilling to listen?

What it think, feel, and say about yourself?

If you’re like most people in the world, I believe that you do not have healthy self-talk about yourself. Remember how many times you abused, criticized, and insulted yourself. I can bet that no one has ever communicated with you at that level of disrespect.

[T]hou canst not think worst of me than I do of myself.

– Robert Burton

I hope you’re getting my point about how anyone can make you think and feel good if you talk bad about yourself. You pretend to show others that you’re happy and living a luxurious life, but we both know the truth; deep down, there is nothing in your life that can be called a success.

It’s not because you’re a terrible person or financially poor. It’s because of the way you communicate with yourself. The voice in your head makes you feel bad.

Recall all kinds of negative self-talk that you’ve had with yourself. Is that fair?

Exercise: Word is a code that we use to program our minds. Use the word to reprogram your mind with positive self-talk. Refuse to listen to anything negative about yourself. If you think that you’re not good enough and no one loves you, replace that with the thought ~ I’m good enough, and I love myself. See, a person in the picture who loves you, I.e., You.

Make yourself the best friend and lover of yours. It’s not narcissism; it’s self-love that has the power to transform your life completely.

If you want to enter into a good relationship with others, first make a great relationship with yourself. It’s about you, my friend. There is no one except you. It’s your story, and you’ve to continue that with love and respect for yourself.

It doesn’t matter how many people will come to your funeral; it matters what you think, feel and say about yourself if you’re attending your funeral.
