Do you remember how many times you checked your smartphone in the last three hours?
Can you answer how many hours you wasted scrolling Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Twitter the previous day?
Could you give me a reason why you watched youtube videos last night till 12:00 a.m.?
Why are you wasting your time and energy on something that doesn’t matter? Those people and those places you’re surfing are virtual. They don’t care who you’re and in what direction you’re mopping.
You’re following someone who doesn’t give a f*ck to you, and you’re running behind something ready to f*ck you all the time.
Sorry, my intention is not to hurt you. I’m telling you a reality that you’re ignoring. You’re chasing a mirage that doesn’t exist. They’re selling something they don’t have, and you’re the prospect. Happiness is not on social media, my dear.
Often we spend time thinking about those who don’t give a f*ck to us and ignore those who love us. We seek attention from those whom we believe are essential.
Is that reality?
When you keep on repeating the same mistake, you become an addict. That’s an addiction, nothing else.
Isn’t it the truth?
With time it becomes a habit to crave those people or things that hurt us in the long term.
You can say that I cannot understand what you’re trying to say. My answer is that distraction is an addiction. You’re addicted to distractions because you don’t have any dream or goal. You don’t love your work. You’re doing it for money. A prostitute who works for money can’t love a man.
If you’re a student, you hate studying, and you’re trying to escape from your work, i.e., study. You’re chatting with your girlfriend/boyfriend or watching Netflix/YouTube for hours. In both ways, you’re killing time.
Cheap entertainment can give pleasure but not confidence. From where you’ll bring the enthusiasm and energy to do the work of your life?
Can you sit for 6 to 8 hours a day and do your work with an absolute peace of mind without distraction?
My dear, I love you, but it needs strength, commitment, and focus that doesn’t come from watching porn and doing masturbation. It’s easy to impress a pretty girl or smart boy to make them fall in love with you. It’s hard to build a lifelong relationship.
Showing off on social media is easy. Anyone can pretend to be a millionaire on Facebook and the next Muhammad Ali on Instagram, but from where they will bring the discipline made up of steel of Bethlehem.
To show off is human nature. I’m not against that, but please, first achieve something, acquire skills, develop talent and then share what you want. Believe me; you’ll never become a social media addict.
Pack up your bag and go to the gym; work out hard for an hour. Do yoga and meditation, read good books, and write great journals. Have an attitude of gratitude; I promise that you’ll never feel the need to watch porn or masturbate unnecessarily.
Understand: The mind is a moist computer. It works on programming. The information you’re coding in the form of words and images will form a unique pattern that will force you to take action. If you’re coding the right recipe for success, you can never be a failure. It takes time but with patience, as you know, we can do anything.
Certain beliefs in your mind are working against you. You’ve to replace those beliefs with those that work for you. Everything ranging from confidence to gratitude is a belief.
I’m creative, innovative, and productive. That’s a belief. I’ve endurance, flexibility, and strength. That’s another belief; why not choose our ideas smartly?
Install the firm belief that from now onwards, I’m not going to be distracted from any cheap entertainment. I will work hard to turn my dreams and goals into reality. Whatever obstacles will come in my path, ill handle that with absolute peace of mind and confidence. From this moment forward, I’m invincible and unstoppable.
