One day, in the evening, I was walking on an empty street for no reason. Suddenly I came across a junction of two roads making a square of four destinations. I was confused.
The first choice was to continue on the road I was moving on, and the second was to revert to where I started. Since I had no destination in my mind, I could’ve married with another road turning left or right.
Indeed there was a destination stamped with every choice; I couldn’t grasp the idea of deciding which road was perfect for me. How can I comment on a goal that I never explored?
Feeling clueless and stupid, to feel better, I decided to walk on the best choice, but the problem was that I had no idea about the total distance of any of those roads and the time it would take to reach the destination.
Since I had a choice and curiosity to explore, I preferred walking on the less traveled road with more greenery. I enjoyed the walk and landed myself on a spot where there was a signboard with something written on it. I read it aloud.
“This road goes nowhere, and the people who walk on it never return to their homes.”
I was terrified, but I had no choice. I continued to walk on the road and landed nowhere. This nowhere land opened a portal of the unknown from where I never looked back.
For years I’ve been walking on the same road with mindfulness and searching for my destiny. I don’t need a destination because I’m enjoying the journey. It’s adventurous. I wish you to have the courage to walk on that road.
