“Things are either devolving toward, or evolving from, nothingness.”
― Leonard Koren, Wabi-Sabi: for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers
‘Wabi-Sabi’ is a Japanese word that, when loosely translated, came to sense as a way of living that focuses on finding beauty within the imperfections of life and peacefully accepting the natural cycle of growth and decay.
Humans think life is perfectly imperfect, and they continuously chase perfection in it.
But what kind of perfection do they seek?
A perfection that satisfies the ‘ego’ in the form of power and pride.
Then how can they see the perfect beauty of life around them?
And an escape from death.
Then how can they embrace the birth of new and virgin life around them?
Without focusing on ‘finding beauty within the imperfections of life and accepting the natural cycle of growth and decay…
How can they live a life of absolute peace and satisfaction?
What do you think about it?
