What to Do In the Moments of Anxiety and Depression?

Always remember that the greatest asset of an artist is her mind.

“In a time of destruction, create something.”

― Maxine Hong Kingston

There are moments during the day when we feel anxious and depressed. We don’t have the energy to do anything. Everything seems to be a doomed destination.

What to do in those moments of hopelessness?

Most people don’t do anything except keep thinking about the problem, but if you’re a creative person, you can use that experience to create art.

An artist is humble. She takes life’s experience with humility and responds to the situation instead of reacting.

If you're a writer, scribe that experience on paper.
As a painter, move your brush on the canvas and create a painting.
Being a sculptor, you can use your hands to carve an image.

Irrespective of your experience, you can do “something” to transform your knowledge into art. The art will consume your anxiety and depression when you practice it slowly.

Always remember that the greatest asset of an artist is her mind. She can always use that to create “something” unique irrespective of the external situations and internal chaos.
