Without Discipline, You Can’t Achieve Any Great Heights?

“A disciplined mind leads to happiness, and an undisciplined mind leads to suffering.”

― Dalai Lama XIV, The Art of Happiness

The first thing kids are taught in school is discipline. Parents, teachers, elders, organizations, companies, and nations teach us discipline, but still, we love an undisciplined life. As a result, we suffer miserably.

We don’t have a schedule to follow, and there is no plan for the day. There is no limit to conversations and no topic to discuss. On which criteria we’ll achieve anything significant in life?

Time is a killer machine. It kills us fast but seems as if it runs slowly. We’re spending our days in gossip and quarreling. We don’t do anything productive. We don’t have a dream to run after. What kind of relationship we’ll develop with society?

My dear friend, there is no real life without discipline. Irrespective of the field you’re working in, you must dedicate your time and attention.

If the scheduled time of your meeting is 5.00 p.m., it means what has been mentioned earlier. Don’t fight it. At 6.00 p.m. sharp, everything will be closed.
