Be A Good Listener
So when you are listening to somebody, completely, attentively, then you are listening not only to the words, but also to the feeling of what is being conveyed, to the whole of it, not part of it.
– J. Krishnamurti
Communication is all about listening. When you listen to someone with not only ears but the whole body.
You don’t need to think about the response.
It’s spontaneous. You create a resonance where you communicate to the next person with the vibrations of love.
Most of the problems that arise during a conversation are poor listening habits. We chat in our minds and wait for the next grabbing opportunity to say something.
We don’t know what to say, how to say it, and why to say it
We’ve no idea of time, space, and character to speak with, and we start speaking
Result
Arguments, ego clashes, poor debates
The conversation becomes a live hell.
If we don’t know where to say and when to say something, we’re out of the conversation before starting.
Please understand that communication is a two-way process. The person with whom you’re conversing is essential. Give her the attention. Listen to her and then respond spontaneously.
Be natural and talk with your heart. You’ll emerge as a successful communicator and enjoy the luxury of great relationships with your loved ones.
