What are you thinking?

I know that you’re afraid of me.

Why?

I’m going to challenge your status quo.

We live under a shadow of fear. We’re afraid of being left behind and declared failures. We fear losing our loved ones and the possessions that we own.

We don’t want to feel inferior in our eyes; hence, we fear being wrong. Rather than accepting what is right, we try to prove that we are not bad.

Can you count the things that you’re afraid of the most?

Let me do the work for you.

  • Fear of death
  • Fear of loss of your loved ones
  • Fear of failure of love of your loved ones
  • Fear of losing money
  • Fear of public speaking
  • Fear of being wrong
  • Fear of poverty
  • Fear of ill health
  • Fear of criticism
  • Fear of old age

Am I done with listing all the concerns?

No.

These are a few of the fears that I struggle with daily. I try to overcome them, but they’re inbuilt in my psyche. I can’t get rid of them. I know that.

With this acceptance comes the commitment to do something every day that can help me live a decent life irrespective of having these fears.

Acceptance is the first step to transforming anyone or anything. Unless we accept reality, there are fewer chances that we can bring any change. We must assume that these fears are older than our life and time. We’re not the only ones who’re facing these fears. The whole human civilization shares our psyche. What a relief we’ve got?

If there exists a problem, there must be a solution. Hence, we must work on ourselves to bring clarity to us. We can’t remain confused all of our lives.

Let me express the solution with one of my favorite fears: the fear of losing money.

I love making money, but I hate losing it. I want it to be with me all the time and comfort me like a perfect lover.

But alas!

She’s a terrible girlfriend. I suspect her integrity. I think that she’s in multiple relationships with multiple partners. I’m not the only one with whom she becomes intimate. This thought breaks my heart.

Beloved Money. Shall I hate you?

Once I understand her nature and accept it as it is without even a thought of a swing, I’ll make peace with her. Instead of abusing, criticizing, and insulting her, I’ll start loving her truly without the intention of changing her nature.

Money is energy. It comes and goes. We can compel it to come to us with effort, but it’s insane to hold it forever. It will go to someone else and return to us in another form, so there is nothing to fear.

With an understanding of the problem comes the solution. I don’t say that I’ve conquered my fears. Even it’s foolish to believe that I try to overcome my fears. What I do is make peace with my fears. I let it come and go. I never fight with it. I know that I don’t have the power and time to conquer these fears.

I love everything that’s within me, even if it’s fear. I face it, accept it, and respond with three little words.

I love you, my dear. Happy to witness you once again. You don’t know how I missed you. Let’s go for a drive and have a quick coffee before killing me.

It works for me. I killed the fear within me with my cute smile. Now it’s time for you.

No War. Only Love.

“How can you be afraid to feel? Isn’t fear a feeling? If you’re feeling fear, you’ve felt one of the most negative emotions there is to feel. Everything else should be a piece of cake.”
