How does Being Grateful for the Goodies help us Win the War of Life?

A couple of years back, I was introduced to a concept by my mentor. It changed my life forever.

“If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more. Looking at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.”

– Oprah Winfrey

A couple of years back, I was introduced to a concept by my mentor. It changed my life forever.

Gratitude.

She [my teacher] told me to leave all my worries and confusion and be grateful for what I’ve got.

I was reluctant to practice this simple teaching. How could I’ve been thankful for my low account balance and for I would be in the process of ending my relationship?

It was complicated to understand the last statement. I told her my circumstances, and she said, “My dear, I love you, and you know I want you to learn everything I know. Do you trust me or not?”

I had no choice. I started to write about the things I had. At first, I could hardly think of anything I could appreciate, but as time passed, I started recognizing the significance of this simple practice.

It was a miracle. Out of anxiety and depression, I found a way of writing my desires and fears. I started to receive compensation for my insights. The Universe changed her point of view about myself and hence the World to complement my wish.

This shift is what I call the realization of our true essence.

We always have more than enough to survive. What we lack is the wisdom to recognize.

The truth is in our hearts, for the Universe is always willing to give us more, but our ego doesn’t want to accept that we can have abundance amid sorrow.

To succeed and prosper, you need specialized knowledge in that subject, but if you don’t appreciate what you’ve, how can you prepare to receive what you don’t have?
