“For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.”
― Aristotle, The Nicomachean Ethics
The best way to learn anything new is to learn by doing.
You’ll fail, shout, and cry but finally understand the art you’re learning.
Riyaz (lit. 'training, practice') is the systematic practice of music, dance, or any other art form, usually under the guidance of a teacher or preceptor.
Do the riyaz every day. That’s the key to success.
Put aside a couple of hours from your daily routine
and practice in a silent place.
Keep your smartphone silent and tell people you’re doing the riyaz.
I just wanted to let you know that no one is allowed to disturb you,
irrespective of the person’s importance.

When we practice every day simultaneously,
the Creative Forces of the Universe start taking an interest in us.
They find us worthy of gifting us with unique content.
We, as artists, do nothing except show up daily to practice our art,
and a mysterious bonding between the Creative Forces of the Universe and us
produces a unique work that we find astonishing.
