How to Forgive Yourself for the Mistakes You’ve Made in the Past?

I'm clear about what I want from life. I don't seek perfectionism. I accept myself for what I'm with my strengths and weakness. I want a life of joy and love for myself.

“When you initially forgive, it is like letting go of a hot iron. There is initial pain, and the scars will show, but you can start living again.”

― Stephen Richards, Releasing You From The Past: Healing Past Hurt Through Forgiveness

We can be kind yet unwilling to forgive others, including ourselves. If you ask me for a magical tool that can heal you from the pain and suffering, it’s forgiveness.

It often becomes impossible to forgive ourselves for the mistakes we made in the past, and because of that, we’re living in terrible conditions. If we do not forgive ourselves, the emotional scars that are causing us pain will never go away, and we’ll remain the same.

We can’t edit or change the past, but we can start with a new page of life by writing a new story. For that, we’ve to forgive ourselves completely.

Who in the world has not made mistakes?

Nothing splendid has ever been created without making a lot of hits and trials. Don’t think that you’ve ruined your future by making those mistakes. They were part of the transformation you’re going through today.

You must accept that you can’t achieve anything significant with the emotional scars you’re carrying within yourself. Shame and guilt have robbed a lot of creative brains of creating a robust future.

They were intelligent and gifted artists but didn’t dare to forgive themselves. They accepted everything that happened to them as part of their transformation. It was the building stone of their foundation. But they were unable to deal with fear, guilt, and shame. They kept the resentment in their hearts, destroying their relationships and careers.

For a moment, think about the mistakes you made in the past. Can you guarantee that you would have had a more promising future if you had not made those mistakes?

The Goddess of Creativity has given you a gift. With that, you can recreate everything you’ve lost. I believe in you and the process of transformation you’re adopting. If that were not the case, you were not reading this article.

I’m clear about what I want from life. I don’t seek perfectionism. I accept myself for what I am with my strengths and weaknesses. I want a life of joy and love for myself. I don’t care what everyone thinks or talks about me.

What I care about is the integrity of my soul.

Is my integrity compromised?

If not, then I’m on the right path.

It’s not about the destination. It can be anything, and that doesn’t matter. What matters is the journey and the way we travel it.

Please forgive yourself and move on. Nothing is there in the past. It’s the future, yours and mine. Together we can create the most beautiful dream of life.

Are you coming with me?
