How To Overcome The Feelings Of Guilt and shame?

Those images and voices in your head are nothing but a memory. Here is the reality of the present, where we're creating a story of success.

People tend to dwell more on negative things than on good things. So the mind then becomes obsessed with negative things, judgments, guilt, and anxiety produced by thoughts about the future.

– Eckhart Tolle

Guilt and shame are the direct response to our inability to deal with the reality of the past. We did something, and it didn’t happen the way we wished. Now, we’re feeling guilty about our actions. We’re ashamed of what the people will think about us.

We can’t accept the truth that whatever was destined to happen just happened, and now we can’t do anything except to take the reality of the past, learn from the situation, and move on.

Past is nothing but a memory in your head, and it doesn’t matter what people will think about you—the truth about your feelings and how you respond to people, that’s all it matters.

You decided in the past based on your knowledge and wisdom. Now that you’re mature and creative, you can derive meaning in your favor from that decision. You can use that experience maturely to give people a new perspective. You can apply it creatively to present new ideas and thoughts before people.

The situation never hurts us, but our emotional response creates guilt and shame.

Leave the past and move forward in life. Those images and voices in your head are nothing but a memory. Here is the reality of the present, where we’re creating a story of success.

You and I are writing the story of success with enthusiasm. Accept the reality as it is. Forgive yourself and forget everything that happened. That’s the best way to deal with feelings of guilt and shame.

Let it go.
