The Village Within — III

There has always been another visitor. It simply returns. Every morning.

Yesterday, we left the village with one last question.

Who has been making that voice feel at home?

There has always been another visitor.

It does not arrive with certainty.

It does not interrupt fear.

It does not compete with comparison.

It does not argue with comfort.

It simply returns.

Every morning.

Quietly.

Patiently.

As though it has never doubted that one day the village might notice.

Perhaps that is why we miss it so often.

We have become accustomed to voices that demand our attention.

This one never does.

It waits.

Not because it is powerless.

But because it never insists on being heard.

Every village carries such a visitor.

One that has never stopped returning.

One that asks for nothing except a moment of genuine attention.

Not when the old voices finally disappear.

But when, for the first time…

the village quietly whispers,

“Welcome.”
